I paint allusive way, letting my characters waver, on hold. Gradually the figuration became less readable. The shapes, the contours of the figures have been radically simplified. They nevertheless anchor my painting in a reference to reality. The surrounding is treated with freedom. Sometimes the figures fade, sometimes they resist. Their presence is threatened.
